Upper East Side Residence

This full gut renovation transformed a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment into a refined pied-à-terre designed exclusively for visiting family members. The goal was to create a flexible, welcoming home that maintained the graciousness of the original apartment while supporting modern living. The enclosed kitchen was opened to create a more connected layout, the bathroom was expanded for improved function, and central air along with an in-unit washer and dryer were seamlessly integrated into the space. A key challenge was balancing flexibility and comfort within a compact footprint, creating a home that could comfortably accommodate multiple guests while preserving the elegance and proportions of the original residence.
